2015 Summer Of Fear: Your Guide To Horror Fun Under The Sun

Spread the love

This summer is chock-a-block full of new horror movie releases. So, without further ado, here’s Your Guide to Horror Fun Under the Summer Sun!

Directed by Henry Hobson. Starring Arnold “I’ll Be Back” Schwarzenegger and Abigail “Lisa Thompson” Breslin.

A teenage girl becomes infected with a virus that is slowly turning her into one of the undead, while her stoic father stays by her side. An unusual, rather somber departure from typical Schwarzenegger fare, and a more personal, emotional take on the zombie movie. Theatrical release. No word on whether Arnold will be crashing into a helicopter or advising someone to “get to da choppah.”

Always Watching: A Marble Hornets Story

MV5BMzg0MTE3NDc4Ml5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwNzgxODMyNTE@._V1_SX640_SY720_

Release Date: Friday, May 15th

Genre: Found Footage

Directed by James Moran. Starring Doug Jones and Alexandra Breckenridge.

A small town news team discovers that a faceless entity called The Operator is stalking them after they find strange videotapes tied to a local family. Limited theatrical release. All I know is, Doug Jones is back and he’s wearing another freaky outfit. Yay!

We here at Bloody Whisper would like to note that this is based on the original Youtube series Marble Hornets that started in 2009 and was inspired by the original Slenderman concept created by Victor Surge on the Something Awful Forums. It does not have the same characters in it, but it is a story that takes place after Marble Hornets ends, and the Operator is the same entity. Marble Hornets is the grand daddy of all Slenderman Youtube series. All others were inspired by or took ideas directly from Marble Hornets and made their own Slenderman story, which is pretty darn cool if you ask us.

You  can buy or rent it on iTunes here.

About Brundlefly Joe

Brundlefly Joe has acted in a few zero budget horror films, including playing the amazing Victim #2 in the short film "Daisy Derkins, Dogsitter of the Damned! (2008)." He has been busy creating film submission for Project 21 and other Philadelphia based film groups. Joe went to college for Film and Animation, and has made several short animation and film pieces. He loves to draw and paint and read; sometimes the same time! His passions include 1980's slasher movies, discovering new music, gobbling up Mexican food, buying stuff on Amazon, chilling with his lovely cat, watching movies involving Marvel superheroes, playing video games and cooking. He loves to cook. Like, a lot. Seriously. Brundleflies have four arms. He can cook two different dishes at the same time. He's great to have at parties. Just don't ask him to tenderize your food. He might get the wrong idea and go all Cronenberg on your plate.
